The Harrah Church staff began a study through the book Building Leaders by Aubrey Malphurs and Will Mancini this week. The first question in the book is, “What is a leader?” I have heard this question phrased, “What is leadership?” The simplest answer to the second question is: Leadership = Influence. The answer to the first question as put by Malphurs and Mancini is:  ”A leader is a servant who uses his or her credibility and capabilities to influence people in a particular context to pursue their God-given direction.” 
As we begin setting out on a journey to create leaders at Harrah Church I would ask that you chew on few things along with us:
▪ How can you build YOUR credibility within our community and how can HARRAH CHURCH build credibility within our community?
▪ How are you increasing your capabilities to influence and lead people?
▪ What is the proper context (place, setting, event, ministries) for Harrah Church to help people develop in Christ?
▪ How are you communicating to people outside our BOX (this church building) that God wants to help them make a change in their life and develop in Christ?
