Baptism is a great step of obedience in the life of every Christian. We are delighted to walk with your child through this wonderful part of his or her life! The Bible teaches us that baptism is an act of obedience for believers. Baptism doesn’t make you a believer – it shows that you already believe. Baptism does not save you–your faith in Jesus alone is what saves you. When you are baptized, you are publicly identifying yourself as a follower of Jesus Christ. It is an outward symbol of your faith and salvation for all to see.

Our children’s baptisms are held for elementary students in 1st through 6th grade. All children who wish to be baptized are required to attend a baptism meeting with the HC Kids Director and their parents before they are baptized. The class includes a workbook you will complete together at home. The workbook provides families with a child-friendly discussion about the meaning of salvation and baptism.
