The Greek word for hospitality is translated as love for strangers. There are many places within the Bible where people are judged for not having hospitality. It is so important that we go the extra mile for our guests, make them feel comfortable, and exceed their expectations. Contact Jenny Brockman at email@example.com for details or to join the team.
These volunteers are all about filling in the gap, from performing clerical duties, to sending letters to guest and volunteers, to anything else that the Executive Pastor needs. They come to the church offices on Wednesdays with a willingness to serve and a smile on their faces.
Put a smile on your face and wave at friends and guests. Point guests towards special parking.
LOBBY and GREETER TEAM
These are some of the first people our guests encounter. They look forward to connecting with people and helping them feel comfortable at Harrah Church. Open doors, pass out bulletins, answer questions, and help families find the Kids classes.
Help people find a seat, encourage them to sit towards the front, and help during the Offering.
These are the people that make things happen. Answer questions, help volunteers check-in, and help people register for events.
God is moving at Harrah Church. Help new believers connect with a Bible Study, get a Bible, and register people for our next Baptism event.
When we have a Baptism event we need extra help aiding our participants through the process.
One of the most important parts of the discipleship process is finding the place within the church that God intended for you to serve. Members of the Volunteer Center Team connect people with something meaningful within Harrah Church.
SOLID GROUNDS CAFE
These are seriously some of my favorite people. The cafe is where I start every Sunday morning…as do so many others. Donuts, coffee, tea, Frappes, Lattes, and Espresso…what is not to love. Work with great people and make incredible beverages.
Taking care of our team members is so important. The check-in team helps volunteers register their attendance so we can know when someone is absent and followup with them.
LAWN CARE TEAM
The only thing more labor intensive than mowing five acres is weed eating five acres. Seriously, these are some of the hardest working guys and gals at Harrah Church. They take care of our lawns and flowerbeds.
With hundreds of light bulbs and air filters around the campus keeping up with basic maintenance takes a huge team. If you can change a light bulb, exchange an air filter, climb a ladder, paint a wall, or have any professional skill then this is the team for you. We keep this place in tip-top shape.
